First, you recognize that something negative is consistently happening in your life.
For example, you might ask: “Why do I yell at my husband every week?” or “How come I fight with every boss I’ve ever had?”
At this point, you ask God to show you what is going on, and perhaps where it started.
Then you ask Jesus, “What do you want to say about this? What do you want to show? What do you want to do?”
Be honest with yourself. Often we don’t want to get down to how we really feel because of how we “should” feel about events or people like our parents. Inner healing works when you’re real about the ugly truth of how something felt to you.
When you give him time, Jesus usually indicates a point of solution. Sometimes it ends with this incredible revelation and healing of the heart. It’s often great to leave the person to soak in the moment, in the love of God and the presence of the Spirit.
Keep in mind, the healing process isn’t a formula. You’re following God’s lead, and His process for you isn’t necessarily going to follow a formula.
Once you get familiar with this process, you can do it on your own.
Yet some things are too big for you to get a grip on by yourself. When you’re with a trusted person, they can pray to God to reveal things for you. God often responds more powerfully when we are together and are more vulnerable.
If you would like someone to guide you through this process, we can meet with you online or in person.
